5 Easy Tips For Healthier Salads

I love salads, especially piled high with blue cheese dressing and cheese. I didn’t have time to make anything and was craving just that… a cob salad with lots of blue cheese dressing. As I thought about it, I started feeling guilty. Should I really be eating this? I did just have an amazing workout so I can eat what I want right? This is the constant battle that goes on in my head.

The reason I’m sharing this is because food has always been a struggle for me and I’m sure many of you have the same day-to-day, meal-to-meal battles.

Instead of just not having my salad, i made a compromise. I had the salad, but with only 1 tablespoon of the yummy blue cheese dressing. To make the salad more satisfying, I added a squeeze of fresh lemon and a tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar. The salad was incredibly delicious and satisfying. I didn’t feel like I was deprived and actually felt like I was indulging without straying from my diet.
